The perfect list does not exist. The reason being an obvious one, different people have different opinions and different taste.
Call of Duty has been a staple on all gaming platforms ever since its launch in 2003.
Despite persistent criticism, the series continues to grow and innovate. This year is spearheaded by the new Call of Duty WW2.
How it will rank against its past counterparts will take some time to decide since the game is still relatively new.
But as far as the other games in the series go, there are some obvious pointers that are universally accepted.
In an online poll on Ranker, all the Call Of Duty games ever released went head to head with votes from 20000 people. The premise for all Call of Duty games is technically the same.
You basically go out, kill people and blow stuff up. So does that mean all the games in the series are the same? Not exactly, it would be criminal to judge all the games on the same wavelength with each gaming having it’s unique identity and character.
So what’s the outcome of 20 thousand votes? The list goes like this:
The top spot is clinched by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since the game brilliant in every aspect. We have seen a new Call of Duty game come out every year, but none of them have been able to recapture the magic of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The game is so good that players are demanding a new HD remastered version.
There are some surprise entries in the list with Call of Duty: Black Ops being the obvious one. The game had a short story, mundane graphics and it had bugs on top of everything and yet it sits on the 3rd place.
A lot of people would disagree with the list but then again the perfect list does not exist. If you feel your favorite game should be ranked higher or vice versa, make yourselves heard.
